Rabi Pirzada: What to learn?

So recently, #RabiPirzada was top trend on Twitter and Facebook due to because intimate images and videos of Rabi Pirzada were circulating on social media. But lets dig out at what lessons this trend leave for us?

Understanding Privacy

So first of all we as a nation should try to educate ourselves about respecting others ‘Privacy’. In case we get some private or confidential data of someone our upmost priority should be to destroy it immediately and not to forward it to others.

Internet is Indelible

Secondly, we should know that term ‘deleting’ is just a hoax on internet. Once its on internet you cannot stop or delete that content. Even if you delete that data, there would be hundreds of machines that are keeping that data and you would never know about that.

Voluntarily vs Non-Voluntarily Content

Thirdly, we should draw a clear line between voluntarily and non-voluntarily content. If the content was published with consent of the author then it should be termed as Voluntarily content and otherwise it should be termed as Non-Voluntarily content. We should always discourage non-voluntarily content.

No Victim Blaming

In our society there is an ill practice of blaming a victim. So as fourth lesson we should stop blaming a victim irrespective of what they have done.

Our Phones aren’t Save

At last, we have most important lesson that our devices are not save! On our request a senior android developer told us that.

Our devices aren’t save. Apps installed in our phones can easily access and transmit our complete data including our pictures, videos or contacts to their servers anytime. There can be a possibility that your friend installs some invisible application in your phone while you leave your phone unattended and now that application will allow your friend to access your complete media files when ever he/she likes.

So we should never let anyone use our phone, or if we do we should keep our eyes on that what they are doing.

Other than that phone reselling should be avoided or at least we should completely erase our phone memory while reselling it. You cannot do that by just deleting photos or videos from your phone’s gallery here is why:

So according to above story, Whatsapp Messenger creates hidden copy of every picture and videos we sent through it while that copy is never visible in our phone’s photo gallery.
